What Does the Bible Say About Caring For Your Family

Does God care about my family?
How can I best care for my family?
Psalm 127:1-5
Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain It is vain for you to rise up early, To retire late, To eat the bread of painful labors; For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep. Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They will not be ashamed When they speak with their enemies in the gate
Even as the watchman stood guard over the city while the citizen slept, so the Lord watches over our home so that we can rest securely in him
Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Too often we think of our relationship with God in individualistic terms. God cares about families too. We can pray for our families and for future generations, knowing that God wants to redeem them and care for them.
How can I best care for my family?
Pro 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
God's promises of protection are supported by our commitment to obedience. When our families develop a real appreciation for God's truth and wisdom for living, they have the greatest tools effective living.
Ephesians 6: 1-4  Honoring our families is one of the pathways to receiving God's promises. Parents are entrusted to teach their children are to respond with respect and obedience. When children are to respond with respect and obedience. When these happen, good things follow.
What will God do for my family?
Psalms 112:1-3 Praise the LORD! How blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who greatly delights in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.
Proverbs 20:7 A righteous man who walks in his integrity-- How blessed are his sons after him
The Lord is so gracious that he not only blesses us, but also  blesses those we most love. W e can trust our families into his everlasting care.
