What Does The Bible Say About Giving?

How does giving affect my own life?
Acts 20:35 In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive
Keeping something may please us, but giving gives us the joy of pleasing God and the satisfaction of helping others.

Luke 6;38 Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure-pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return."

We cannot give God. While we should not give in order to get, God has promised to bless us in response to our giving. Those who trust him find that they always have what they need when they really need it.

Psalm 112:5-6 It is well with the man who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment.
For he will never be shaken; The righteous will be remembered forever.

God bless the generous with things that money can never buy.

Matthew 10:42  "And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you, he shall not lose his reward."

The simplest gifts bring the most sacred rewards. No gifts is too small, and no act of kindness is too insignificant to go unnoticed by the Lord.
