Does God Really Give Us the Desires of Our Hearts?

If God loves me, why do I have to wait patiently

Romans 5:3-5 And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

This is world is God's waiting room. While we wait, we learn better how to live.

We gain composure, strength, humility, and a deeper appreciation for God's in our lives.

Patience is like a chisel, shaping godly character. It is like the potter's hands, molding us into a vessel the Lord can use.

Teaching us patience is one of God's purpose in our lives

Psalm 37:7-9 

Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper—it only leads to harm. For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord will possess the land.

Does God give you the desires of your heart? Yes, and even more. It may be different plans or desires than you ever thought you wanted. He has extraordinary plans when you simply put Him first in your life.

"Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen" (Ephesians 3:20-21)
