The power of Jesus

Jesus gave them authority over both literal snake's and Scorpions and snake - like and Scorpion - like demons. 

The chief enemy was Satan himself.

Mark 16: 17,18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; నమ్మినవారివలన ఈ సూచక క్రియలు కనబడును; ఏవనగా, నా నామమున దయ్య ములను వెళ్లగొట్టుదురు; క్రొత్త భాషలు మాటలాడుదురు,

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. పాములను ఎత్తి పట్టుకొందురు, మరణకర మైనదేది త్రాగినను అది వారికి హాని చేయదు, రోగుల మీద చేతులుంచినప్పుడు వారు స్వస్థత నొందుదురని వారితో చెప్పెను.

pS 91:13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. నీవు సింహములను నాగుపాములను త్రొక్కెదవు కొదమ సింహములను భుజంగములను అణగ ద్రొక్కె దవు.

Eph 6:12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. ఏలయనగా మనము పోరాడునది శరీరులతో కాదు, గాని ప్రధానులతోను, అధికారులతోను, ప్రస్తుత అంధకారసంబంధులగు లోక నాథులతోను, ఆకాశమండలమందున్న దురాత్మల సమూహ ములతోను పోరాడుచున్నాము.

Jam 4:7Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. కాబట్టి దేవునికి లోబడియుండుడి, అపవాదిని ఎదిరించుడి, అప్పుడు వాడు మీయొద్దనుండి పారిపోవును.

IPet 5:8,9 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: నిబ్బరమైన బుద్ధి గలవారై మెలకువగా ఉండుడి; మీ విరోధియైన అపవాది గర్జించు సింహమువలె ఎవరిని మింగుదునా అని వెదకుచు తిరుగుచున్నాడు. Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. లోకమందున్న మీ సహో దరులయందు ఈ విధమైన శ్రమలే నెరవేరుచున్నవని యెరిగి,విశ్వాసమందు స్థిరులై వానిని ఎదిరించుడి.
