Birth of Jesus Christ as a child of God

Wrapped him ion swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger(Heaven's great  king )such was the first resting place of Son of God

(Luke 2:4-7) And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

The Messiah of Israel had to be born in Bethlehem

(Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting).

God used the decree of the Roman emperor to bring Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem where Jesus was born. God can use (and does) all circumstances of life to accomplish His purpose.

"Bethlehem" is a Hebrew name and means "house of bread".

From there came the one who is the "Bread of life" (John  6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst).

Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Such was the resting place of the Son of God, heaven's great king.

It was His own choice, and that of God the Father.

His character revealed in Matt 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Phil 2:5-8 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:   He is our example, and we should have the same attitude that He had

Bethlehem was a small town. There would have been few places to stay,and, because of the census, many visitors.

But through Jesus' life there was often no room for him any where 

Matt2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy 

Matt8:20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.

John 1:20  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

John 19:15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
