What can I do to reduce my angry responses?

1 Peter 2:21,23 For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

Jesus teaches that giving in to anger is giving up on God.
Don't retaliate; trust God to handle the situation.

Proverbs 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger
Proverbs 29:8 Scorners set a city aflame, But wise men turn away anger

Giving in to anger gives even more power to the cause of our anger. Striking back invites the other person to the to strike back harder. Ask God to help you respond with gentleness and resist the urge to respond in anger.

Psalm 4:4 Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still.
Proverbs 19:11 A man's discretion makes him slow to anger, And it is his glory to overlook a transgression

Anger is like mud;we can brush it off much better when it's dry.
Don't react.
Respond after you've had a chance to cool off and gain God's perspective.
